I have been looking for two of my all-time favorite teachers. One is Mr. Duane Long, whom I located in Fresno, CA but the other was Miss Norma Homfeld. I searched for her on the internet and found a teacher whose name is Mrs. Norma Homfeld Barney. Does that mean that Miss Homfeld and Mr. Barney (the single, middle-school teacher hunk) got married?!! I heard rumors flying around about the two when I was in sixth grade (the year after I had her at Ramey Intermediate ... still have our class pic) but am now DELIGHTED to hear she seems to have had a life as wonderful as she was and deserved. My name is Gregorio Gallardo and I'm from Zaragoza. I was born on 1963 so I'm 43 years all. I write you because when I was a young boy my father told me a lot of things and histories about ZAB. He was working for 3 years there, on 57, 58 and 59. He was a mechanical of cars, ambulances and others vehicles of ZAB. He died 2 years ago and I remember him day by day. I think that he would like do that I'm doing now. I visited last week your web and also the toros web and for me was very exciting to see all the things that you remember with love of my/yours city: Zaragoza. I also readed about "brats". The next year it will be in Zaragoza The Zaragoza-Expo 2008. It is an International Exposition regulated by the B.I.E., the French abbreviation for the International Expositions Bureau (Bureau International des Expositions). The first international exposition took place in London in 1851. Since its success, numerous expositions have been held all over the world, including the Paris Exposition of 1889, which gave birth to the Eiffel Tower. And I was thinking, why not I send a proposal to the marketing department of expo zaragoza2008? And I did It. I've asked for the possibility that our local gobernment get in contact with your association. It would be very nice to invite you to come back to Zaragoza for this important event.
